On this episode of The Disciple-Making Leader Podcast, Craig Etheredge and Glenn Underhill welcome guest Zach Towery to discuss the optimal trajectory of a disciple-making leader. Zach shares his personal journey of realizing the importance of moving down the spiritual growth pathway and becoming a disciple-making leader. He dives deep into the pathway that Jesus used to move people down a spiritual journey and discusses the importance of understanding where people are on the pathway and what their next steps should be. Zach also talks about the pipeline of spiritual growth and leadership development and emphasizes that most church leaders have gone through these leadership roles intentionally or unintentionally. The group also explores the optimal trajectory of a disciple-making leader and how it involves recognizing and elevating individuals with leadership gifts and desires as they progress down the pathway of faith, connection, discipleship, and multiplication. They also include discussions on showing love and care for employees and how it can make them stand out from other managers. Stay tuned for a future episode exploring a divergent path.
